Hi Guys...saw that this hadn't been started this week, so I went ahead and did it - apologies if I stepped on anyone's toes..

The stats:

11/29 = 236.0 lbs
12/06 = 229.5 lbs
12/13 = 229.0 lbs
12/20 = 228.5 lbs
12/27 = 232.0 lbs
01/03 = 228.5 lbs Mileage = 119.7
01/10 = 232.0 lbs Mileage = 58.63
01/17 = 226.5 lbs Mileage = 89.37
01/23 = 224.0 lbs Mileage = 57.96
01/31 = 224.0 lbs Mileage = 75.82
02/07 = 226.0 lbs Mileage = 69.31
02/14 = 224.5 lbs Mileage = 71.23, YTD Mileage = 542.02
02/21 = 223.5 lbs Mileage = 108.36, YTD Mileage = 650.38
02/28 = 220.0 lbs Mileage = 17.09, YTD Mileage = 667.47
03/07 = 217.5 lbs Mileage was down for a few reasons, mainly low energy due to weather change, work schedule and tapering for a ride this upcoming weekend. That said, I’m still exceeding my average minimum weekly mileage (for 3000 miles this year) by 2 or so miles, and the gap should be made up nicely if all goes to plan this weekend (200K Brevet).

As for weight, it seems that quitting drinking is helping the cause along nicely, not only eliminating those calories, but also those calories that come along in the in-situ and post drinking eating binge (I get hungry when I drink).

Mind if I throw my hat in the mix? This will be my first week here.

03/06 = 273.4 lbs

I just got my bike last week as I'm sure some of you know already. First ride out was just over 3 miles 2nd was about 4.5, I probably could've have gone to 6 or so but the only other route from where I ended was uphill and I couldn't do it.

Goals for the week: Just get some miles on the bike everyday and hopefully riding 10 mile routes by this weekend.

Outstanding! It looks like you've done some good work without the bike; the bike will now make it that much more fun.

As for riding goals, it's good that you want to do more, but I'd advise watching that you don't over train. Speaking from experience, it is rather disheartening when you have to stop riding because you hurt yourself because you were riding too much. In short, listen to your body and stop if you think you're doing damage (this rule, BTW, applies to multiple scenarios).

Welcome to the fray!

Still 283.5... Hmmm, I knew I felt too good last week! Pants still loose though... I'd like to blame bad weather, personal issues, tired from work... But really, I just didn't get to the gym as much as I liked to.

Wrong way. Bad weekend. Made the journey to Philly for the Philly Craft Beer Festival and then a big ole Tony Luke's Cheesesteak, along with some Philly Soft Pretzels. At least I got some exercise in with a run on Saturday before the festival and then shoveling 8" of friggin snow this morning!!!! I thought spring was supposed to come to PA this week...

Reached my 3-1 goal on 3-7 so am very excited. Been really puttin in the miles and time on th bike and trainer. Hope I'm not kickied outta the club as my weight really bounces a bit so for me, I'm still a Clyde and this is my favorite forum. Not gonna let up now. It's crunch time for me. Hope to never see 2xx+ anything ever again.
Just a thought. I remember all to well when I was in school and played football and ate everything in sight including malted milk shakes every night to try and gain one stinkin pound. I mean for goodness sake, I was the same hight as now and weighed 144#'s. Gained 100#'s after I married the beautiful wife who grew up on a farm and knew how to cook. Kept it on till now. Wow who woulda thought. Just sayin........

With my heaviest weight being somewhere north of 435 lbs. back in the late summer of 2009, I've been working my way down since October of 2009.

1/3 = 280.0
1/10 = 273.4
1/17 = 272.2
1/24 = 271.8
1/31 = 269.6
2/7 = 265.4
2/14 = 271.8
2/21 = 272.0
2/28 = 271.8
3/7 = 262.6

Looks like I managed to right the ship. Travel did wreak some havoc on my routine, but that may not have necessarily been a bad thing. Today is a new all-time low for me.

There are good weeks, and there are not-so-good weeks. This was a good week: I started running again (60 second intervals, in shoes that don't aggravate the sore spot on my heel); I went for a ride on Saturday with my darling.

Of course, the Saturday ride showed me just how badly I've atrophied over the winter. It was the quick 7 mile ride into downtown on the local bike path. Sure, there was a headwind, but there's no way a 7 mile ride on flat terrain should make me want to stop to rest. C'mon, I did a century in October! And I'm supposed to do 170 miles in two days on an MS Society fundraiser in two months!

...and the training I need to do for that will just help my weight go lower.

I was out of town on my weigh-in day so I have to sit this week out. Not looking forward to weighing in this coming Saturday, though, as the long weekend included a lot of egg/hashbrown/pancake breakfasts. Fortunately we were having too much fun on the snowmobiles to stop for lunch either day.

Last week: 275 lbs
This week: 275 lbs

This was week two of my Couch to 5k program and it sucked the energy out of me. I'm repeating the week's running schedule this week to see if my muscles like it any better. By the time Thursday rolled around, all I wanted to do was nap. I did have a brief bike ride on Saturday and it felt good to cycle. Sunday I went to the movies to watch "Gnomeo & Juliet". Instead of popcorn I had frozen yogurt -- raspberries and pineapple makes a delicious combo. But I also had a box of Milk Duds. When I calculated my calories for the Sunday, I somehow managed to stay within my calorie range of 1500 - 1850. Success?

This week I will do strength training 3 times, repeat week two of the running program, lots of walking, and hopefully more bike riding.

Glad to see everyone's progress!

Awesome week for me after a disappointing previous week. Funny thing is, I really didn't change anything. I guess that's just how our bodies work.

Obviously I'm not planning on losing another 10lbs, but I hope for 3-6lbs this week.

Hey, Biggieou, did I notice correctly that the first digit in that there number changed rather significantly? You go!

Breaks over - got to refocus. I hope to start cycle commuting next week.

02/02/2011 - 411
02/09/2011 - 394
02/16/2011 - 389

03/02/2011 - 383
02/09/2011 - 378

Going to continue doing 60 mins of elliptical trainer this week with an average HR of 146-148, increase upright bike inside to 6 miles a day.
Short term goal 349, and when the snow melts be able to ride my bike to the YMCA 8 miles away. This may seem like a breeze to many of you but for me will be huge. I would love to trade the elliptical for the bike, and just hit the weights and sauna when I get to the Y.
