Most cost effective way to build up Pake C'Mute without existing parts?
I really want to build up a Pake C'Mute as a SS all'rounder, but am struggling with how to do it on the somewhat-cheap since I don't have any existing parts. I've considered buying a BD rig, something with decent parts, and swapping what I need and hocking the rest, but not sure if this is the best route since I don't have many of the tools necessary to make a swap. Any other ideas?

The most cost effective way is to buy a BD bike and sell the pake frame.I like/own pake, but that frame is not any better than the BD offerings.Swapping parts over would be a lateral move at best.Get the Fantom Cross Uno and be done.

Fantom Cross Uno is and has been a high consideration, but I like the ability to run derailleurs if I ever wanted to with the Pake. Thanks for the the response. It confirms that my thinking isn't too far off.

If not having the tools is an issue with stripping a BD bike, it will be an issue when building from parts sourced any other way. I suggest getting a full bike in that case.
Some retailers offer build kits, have no idea of cost or component quality.
