Hey guys,
I've gone through about the last 50 or so pages doing research but I'm still having trouble trying to decide (and I've read that bikesdirect's customer service on size suggestions can be lackluster at times).
I want to order a Kilo TT off BD, but I'm unsure about what size to order. I'm about 5"8, inseam usually is 29.
I'm trying to understand the center to center sizing, as opposed to what seems to be a more normal center to top.....I think either 53cm or 50cm are my options considering my height?

He's talking about his pant length, more than likely.

I'm about 5'8" and I'd feel completely cramped on a 50cm anything. My 52cm Fuji even feels a bit small to me. If you really want a better idea of size, get a friend and a seamstress' tape and try something like this.

Your cog is slipping.
Your inseam isn't your pants inseam. And you read this sticky, right?

My reading comprehension can, at times, be described as subpar. (Joking, but only kind of)
Thank you for the input all. I've seen the fit calculators, just admittedly was trying to get an idea without have to ask for the physical help of a friend. I may have to though.

Keep in mind that the Kilo TT frame sizes are listed as the center to seat tube (c-c) length not center to top tube (c-t) length like a lot of other bikes. So the 53cm kilo tt is a 56cm c-t and the 50cm is a 53cm c-t. Mine fits me great; I have about .5 to 1in of play when I stand over the bike which is nice for lots of stops and starts when commuting / city riding.

I don't have a Kilo TT, but I've been looking into buying one lately and was wondering how hard it would be to convert it to threaded. I just need a threaded headset and a quill stem correct? Also does it matter how much I cut off the steer tube?

Not quite. You would need to thread the top of the fork steerer tube, which is neither cheap nor easy to do. So, the practical answer is that you would also have to buy a new threaded fork.

Any of you guys run full fenders on your Kilo? I'm planning to build mine up as a winter bike now that I got a new frame; wanted to look into some options.
