Fresh DJ fun - - completion follow-up
A box showed up at work the other day. Decided it was time to expand the horizons of ways I can get hurt and/or just suck.

Yeah, that's probably going to hurt. And be really fun at the same time.

DUDE! Remember the Laws of Gravity are always to be obeyed!
There is wisdom in the phrase-ACT YOUR AGE! Wisdom, not much fun, just saying.....that is a slick looking Yeti, then again, I don't think Yeti makes anything that isn't. Enjoy.

What's my age again?
I'm stoked. Almost all of the pieces are gathered; just wish I had enough time to start putting it together. Alas, a race tomorrow and another Sunday so no time until next week.
Since it's primarily going to be my BMX weapon, I'm going to try out first running at as a singlespeed. Got a Wheels Mfg. SSK-3 single cog converter on the way and will try a 36/16 combo. My dearly-departed Blindside was the donor for much of what's going on it.

Thanks! I chose it myself . Actually, I think the logo could have been larger, but . . . .
What am I still doing up? I have a race tomorrow.

Well . . . it only took, what, a month-and-a-half to get this done ?
FINALLY finished it last night; going on it's maiden run this evening.
Here's how it shook out partz-wise:
'11 Yeti DJ frame sz. LG
'11 RST Space Jump 100mm
Syncros FR2 stainless headset
Syncros Bulk bars 40mm rise
Syncros FR stem 50mm
Syncros FR seatpost
Sunline V1 saddle
Truvativ Hussefelt cranks 170mm/36T/Howitzer BB
Syncros Mental Mag pedals
Hayes Stroker Gram brakes
Brake Authority rotors, 7/6
Syncros FR DPS 32 wheelset (Azonic Momentum nutted reducer rear axle)
Kenda Small Block 8 DTC-DH 2.35 tires
Wheels Mfg. SSK-3 singlespeed conversion (with chain guides)
KMC SS chain
Mostly built from leftover parts, save the fork. Yeah, I know, the hoses are too long. Will trim when I feel like hassling with a bleed job.

nah..hoses arent too long, u need em long for barspins. Bike looks good with very well thought out components. Are you "all dirt" or is there some "urban" in your plans..I ask because I see you have a front brake, if you plan on mostly riding on concrete/streets may I suggest you look at some Kenda Kiniptions or Intense Micro-Knobbies tires. Those SB8's are great, especially for dirt but do make noise of the street, truth is they are pretty decent all-rounders but I put a set of kiniptions on mine and WOW!! they roll and roll and roll and grip like a mofo..
Either way, sweet ride!

Tonight it's going on our LBS' Wed. night group ride. I will hurt.
Funny you should mention the bottle mount. I started to take my light for the ride tonight until I remembered there wouldn't be any place for my battery. I only do clipless for XC racing and even then I don't really like it. Fork might as well have LO - - darned dirt jump forks are stiff. This will be interesting . . . .

Thanks, Dan. Makes a fun trailbike too, if you like to stand. Rode with the group tonight on a winding, up-and-down 13½-mile trail ride . . . with the seat slammed. Wanted to see if I could do the whole evening standing and pedalling. My legs are pooped.

Space Jump is RST's top-shelf DJ fork. Since it follows the trend of other mfr's higher-end DJ forks of having aluminum steerers, I think I will trust it.

^^ Haha, that's about right - - probably about the time I first acquired most of those parts.
