Gilbert on a breakaway
Boonen takes the bunch sprint for 2nd.

Would be happy to see Cancellara take another RVV.

FC will leave them all counting the change and figuring out what in the world Happened, his win last sunday was really EPIC!!!!

What i like about him is that he will show you in your face how powerfull he is, at the same time he is modest. My wife and everybody's wife I bet like FC too hehehe

Chavanel on a long break, working with...um...Devolder and...Gilbert. And Steegmans. And Thor, but he punctures or something before the end.

Yeah, that's the ticket.

...

Just kidding, Cancellara.

Lars Boom.

OK, he's 70-1, but the dude can motor, and Spartacus and Tommeke might let him go on a defensive move against the faves.

The odds are in favor of Cancellara again, but I wouldn't count out Gilbert. I think Boonen's only chance is if he gets a lot of help from his team.

I am not sure the other teams really buried themselves try to stop Cancellara at the E3. They will at Flanders... there's sooo much more at stake. Cyclingnews mentioned the other teams might try and form an alliance to stop him. Not sure how (or how well) that would work.

On another note, I'm so excited for this race I'm seriously considering bailing on a 100km group ride I've been planning on for weeks so I can watch it.

Ditch riding so I can watch other people ride?

Okay, that sounds silly. I'll go ride. But I'm taking my smartphone.

Weather for Meerbeke, Belgium Sunday = RAIN and high of 57°F. We haven't had a good sloppy Ronde in a long time.

Tyler Farrar barely hangs with Fabian and then out sprints him. First USA winner?

Yeah, it will be nice. When I rode the cyclosportive on Saturday last year, it was 45F and raining all day. Then the pros got a really nice sunny day on Sunday. Well, I got my revenge this year because it was about 72F and sunny for the cyclo yesterday, and it will be in the low 50s with rain and soupy conditions for them. It should make for an interesting race.

Yeah, that was a great race. I thought for sure it was over when Cancellara got away. Once he got caught it was excitement all the way to the finish. I felt bad for Chavanel. He rode a perfect race until that final sprint.

I thought the extra time they spent showing the team cars was interesting. Can't say I agreed with Garmin's philosophy that sprinting for 3rd was a great idea in that situation.

Ah, I was rooting for Chavanel. Too bad for Cancellara, I guess even Superman gets cramps sometimes!

And it's nice for Nuyens, it's fun when the winner is a native.
