Coltello and Pre Cursa

Hey, breaking my post cherry with a question that I could maybe get some good feedback on. I'm a long time roadie (Bianchi Veloce) making his transition onto the track. It's just fascinating how fast these guys can go and I want that. Been to a track twice and was lent some steel bikes and enjoyed it very much. However, it seems to be aluminum is the way with track bikes so I've done my research and narrowed down to two frame sets. I'm only making a new thread because there really isn't much about these bikes, let alone next to each other:

Dolan Pre Cursa 52cm

Masi Coltello 53cm

Now I know there are many other frames but both of these seem to have similar geo, tubing, and I can get either for ~$500 (there is a local shop selling the Masi for $550 rather than the MSRP $785 )leaving me with a ~$400-500 budget for wheel set. Any opinions and/or recommendations would be appreciated! Safe riding!

Haha, this is true, and I suppose I'd win points with that, but perhaps there is a reason they aren't seen so often on the track??

wise words. well since I have tried the Coltello, fits well, it looks like that'll be my next frame! Can't find a Pre Cursa around so better knowing that the Coltello fits rather than not knowing if the Pre Cursa fits well.

They only carry the blue model in stock. By the way, if anyone is looking for this frame and lives near Wheaton, Il, Spokes Bikes have them for $550. No shipping options as far as I know.
