Shimano SLR brake housing question
Short story is I needed to recable front brake on new bike. LBS only usable quality cable for road is SRAM pit stop and the new unused housing the bike was specced with is Shimano SLR. Problem is the SRAM cable is a smaller diameter than the SLR thus the housing is larger. Will this cause any issues?
Thank you in advance for any advice

1.5 to 1.6 is not enough of a difference to worry about. Our shop is doing the same as Shimano jacked their price from $3.00 to $5.00 on each cable and Sram is still at $3.00

OK, I was mainly worried about it causing premature wear on the housing and starting to get sticky. That and mixing in other manufacturers parts can be silently degrading performance. I'm too cheap to toss the stuff the bike came with when it is not poor quality. Into the housing it goes. Now if the weather would cooperate with my riding plans......
