Will be arriving in Helen, GA. on Friday afternoon. Anyone here submitting themselves to self-abuse... ?

Neal and I registered the day of the ride last year and did the 80 miles back to Helen. I know it's not the "ride" but we wanted an 80 miler and it was there. We both though the route to that point had a bit too much traffic for our liking. Maybe it was due to a car rally in Helen that day, but there always seems to be something going on in that town. Hope you have a great ride Pat.

Its a good ride but not my favorite route. Kind of like the Festo Velo event in Charleston, SC this past December. Nice riding, but not such a great route due to traffic. But there again, after riding routes in WNC like the Franklin Ruby event this coming weekend, the bar is set very high. Maybe we are spoiled.
