HELP~HELP~TREK 7.5 FX UPGRADES... a PLUS????

Hi guys,

I just found a 2010 TREK 7.5 FX from craigslist, and the seller did some " upgrades" on his bike,

*** It's that a plus?
*** Does those upgrades increase the bike's value?
*** What is the purposes of these upgrades?

ORIGINAL SPEC
Pedals:Alloy body with alloy cage
Handlebars:Bontrager Crowbar Sport with 25mm rise
Stem:Bontrager Select SSR with 10 degree
Saddle:Bontrager H2 FlexForm
Seatpost:Bontrager Nebula

UPGRADES
Pedals: Shimano SPD (Upgrade)
Saddle: Specialized SL 143 Phenom (Upgrade)
Seat Post: Specialized S-Works Pave SL Carbon (Upgrade)
Handlebars: Specialized S-Works Prowess (Upgrade)
Stem: Thomson Elite X4 (Upgrade)

It's a plus only if the components fit you.
I don't think these minor upgrades will push the bike's
value a lot compared w/ the original components.
The pedals allow you to pull up not just push down.
The other changes were to customize the bike to the
previous owner's anatomy, i.e. make it more comfortable.

Some of those items are very expensive, so in the monetary sense, they're definitely upgrades. Just the saddle, stem, seatpost and bars are worth a large chunk of what a whole 7.5 FX costs. They also reduce the bike's weight, which many folks view as an upgrade.

Those are all legit upgrades. Whether the bike is a good deal just depends how much he "upgraded" his asking price.
