Giro Stage 16 ITT Spoiler
CONTADOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOR!!!!!!!
1. Contador 2. Nibali (0:34) 3. Scarponi (0:38)
Contador 4.58 ahead of Scarponi on GC.
Have to give credit to Nibali and Scarponi for keeping up the pressure but Alberto looks certain to win barring something like illness or an accident.
Tifosi out in force on the climb but not as many AHs as on Sunday.

He has a commanding lead, but bad luck can easily erase a 5 minute lead. It's not in the bag just yet, but I wouldn't bet against him.

Yeah, I was saying that a week ago. At this point the only way he'd lose is if he got run over by a motorcycle.
I don't really know why he put in a big effort today though, since he has such a huge lead.

I have a hunch he is gonna really pad the crap out of his lead and possibly win the tour by 9-10 minutes or so. I would if I was him knowing it may be my last race for awhile. 5 days left, another TT and a few more mountain finishes, he could grab another 3 minutes easily. Might as well go out with a bang and absolutely own the race without mercy at this point.

IMO he's trying to show that he's the best rider in the world and that anybody who thinks that he needs chemical enhancement to win just doesn't understand how good he really is. Not sure any of this will help him with the UCI, tho.

I can't wait to see what he will do at TdF. Contador has serious talent on that bike.
