Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

My longest ride so far...

So I finally finished a >50 mile ride today. Left with a local group and met up with a group from the next town north. Did most of the trip in the group @ 24-27mph and then had to ride home solo for another 20 or so miles against a ridiculous headwind @ around 14-19mph depending on the wind. Grand total of 55 miles.

I finally went after the ride and got some lycra bike shorts. Should help a bit in future rides as I've been averaging a bit over 100 miles a week.

Btw: 46x14 is my new go-to gearing. 86.28gi

squirrels jump out in front of my bike more than my car. I had one jump into my front spokes a couple weeks ago. was kinda funny as it ended up being catapulted over my shoulder.
