Hello everyone trying to learn my way around here
Hey guys and gals, hope everything is good in your part of the world, Been riding forever but never really knew all that much well now I have a snapped axle some bearing falling out and lord knows what else, the bike isn't anything great but it was my big brothers who passed it down to me, and he is no longer with us. I know this is like a 170 dollar bike at wal mart but I want to fix the thing for him and perhaps along the way find my own bike out there. Its a Schwinn Aluminum Comp 26" its got some war wounds but other than the formentioned problem it hasn't given me any trouble, except slipping a few gears. Wondering where to go so I get some grease on my hands also thinking about getting a bike in the 200-300 range doesn't need to be new just solid and I need to gain enough knowledge to keep the thing in good condition. Looking forward to mixing up stories and making friends here ~ Ride On !

Welcome to the forums! Like 10 Wheels said, the Bike Mechanics section can get you on the right path to fixing your current bike. Depending on how you want to ride or use your new bike for, there are many sections in Bike Forums that can assist you in getting on track to a new bike. Snoop around there is great information here.
