well what a day, to say the least. went about 20 miles or so. came back because the weather looked bad, but then it got nice again. i think i'm gonna jog like 2 miles now just to get into that tri mood. anyways, i just wanted to post what happened today. i went down to speedwell, the place where they train, and used the porta potty. i parked my bike against it, and the door slam made it fall i guess. picked it up and rode off to find the right bar has been bent. i know it's able to fix it with a bolt i think. but anyways on the ride home, i hit a big downhill and i was in like the lowest gear and all my weight went right to the top of the saddle. it was the worst one ever. like all the weight on my left side in the middle of my body. if you get the drift. almost couldn't make it home it was that bad, i thought it was bleeding. but all is good and now it's feeling better. but that's my day, anyone top that?
On another note, weather here was bad. 101 degrees... rode 40 miles anyway. I'm starting to not buy your stories. I think you're making this stuff up off the cuff.

the thought of that is just scary
and Justin, if you do try firearms... please don't get anything larger than a BB gun, you might even want to stick to airsoft. although i'm sure you could even manage find a way to shoot your eye out with a rubber band gun.

Please take my advice.
Sell the Fuji.
Get whatever you can for it.
Then, go buy a Trek 1.1.
By the time you finish replacing the derailleurs, cables, wheel and gosh knows what else
fails on that bike, you'll be spending enough money to buy an entry level full carbon bike.
What do you want to do for saving $150.?
Spend half your time fixing your bike or riding it all the time?
Trust me; I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
Sell the Fuji.

to let you guys know, my area is healing very well and i fixed the handlebar on my bike, it was easy, just a bolt underneath the cover. all is ready to go again. everything is pretty good at this point in time. ordered a new brake cable for the front and once that's fixed i am ready to go. btw i used my aero bars today and like halfway through i was like yeah, these were definately a nice investment. they are like coasting on your bike, but for your arms, not your legs. downhill they make me go fast. i have a little better control with the drops, but downhill with the aero is fun to say the least. i am already pretty much used to them, they don't take long to get used to. sure they might look ugly, but i am getting used to it and i think it makes the bike look better now. i'm more a road rider for sure now. today wasn't bad besides the occasional chimunk in the grassy hills area scaring me, no one yelled out the window at me besides one person. i thought he said, you look like a road rider for sure, but it might have been my imagination.

hey guys, so i took my old front brake cable out. rather easy, got some pics. all will be perfect after the brake cable is in. check out the one pic. i have tried tightening and loosening this bolt and have no idea what it's used for. also i shared a pic of a vice grip cable splitter/cutter i got. it does wonders for any cable you need to splice or whatever. saves so much time and it works perfect. it has a spring release handles.

Here I was hoping this thread would die while I was away for a few days. jschristian, seriously, get out of cycling before you kill yourself. You realize that if you loosen that bolt too far your front brake will fall apart, right?
