Today on my ride I saw someone in a jersey / kit that said "Carleton" along the legs / across the torso. Made me think of Carleton. Would have taken photos but I'm pretty sure dude would have been weirded out.

I imagine the sqrlfriend would enjoy watching the video, considering her comments about Chris Hoy in that other video.

She watched it, three times. First time was just general viewing. The second time, I told her to pay attention to the numbers and data. The third time was for eye candy.

And again, the phrase "I'd let him man handle me" was used. We agreed on this.

Oh, I didn't realize that was what she said. When you said the phrase "man handle" was used, I thought you meant that she would be manhandling him.

Also, you obviously meant that the first time was for eye candy as well as the third time, if you had to make her watch it again to actually get her to notice the statistics.

Seriously, though, that man is beast. Like woah.

Totally. I'll put it like this, I'd let him power all of my flat screen TV's.

Yeah, that was beautiful. That's why he needs creatine!

Yeah, I guess the right way to phrase it is that he needs more nutrients (amino acids, etc...) from food than is humanly possible to consume.

I'm sure that many of you are athletes or have been and any athlete will tell you that sometimes eating can feel like a job. I have to eat so much that it gets on my nerves. Seriously.

Most normal people can skip or be late eating a meal and not really notice it. If an athlete skips a meal they feel awful. I've literally been asleep and will wake up at 2 or 4AM with hunger pangs and I'll get up cursing as I walk to the kitchen.

Skip breakfast? Fell like crap till you eat something.

Oh, a banana will tide me over. WRONG. That banana will subside me for about as long as it takes to eat it.

So, yeah, supplements help with all of this.

Crap, I'm literally hungry now. Like, stomach is growling. I ate till I was full at lunch 3 hours ago.

3 hours is about as long as I can hang without food during waking hours... even with a huge meal

i think its a blood sugar thing as much as it is a metabolic demand thing.

I was like that for the last 4 years until last fall. It's funny how long it took my metabolism to match my reduced activity, since I had to cut riding most of that summer, unfortunately it caused me to gain 20lbs.

Carleton, I've begin training for 2 months now on a flat cycling path with 50/17. The path have 28miles and the type of training that I do is 2 days of pacing and trying to maintain a high cadence/speed for as long as I can (1 day with my group the other I'm alone). 1 day of sprinting (1Km/500 meters sprints mixed with 500 meters of rest). The 4th day I ride at night with friends, we normaly try to do a climbing path.

Do you think that this is a good way to train team pursuit for the velodrome? My access to the local velodrome is only on saturdays so I try to do this to compensate. Is there a better way to train without access to a velodrome more than 1 day?
