1937/38 Deluxe Schwinn Auto Cycle

I saw this on eBay:

https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...#ht_942wt_1141

Just curious what people thought of the asking price.

Cool bike but I don't see it being worth what they're asking.

I agree especially when you read this

""The bike was a Christmas present to my grandfather in 1938. Has been in his possession since that time. He had the bicycle recently restored to its original condition.""

if it was all original it might be worth a few thousand but restored.......

Don't you watch Pawn Stars or American Restoration?

Spend $1000 on the item, $5000 to restore it and sell it for $10000.

Very interesting responses. My feeling was that for the average collector or someone who appreciates older bikes, it's way overvalued.

But if they can get some press on the story, get some interviews on TV, they might find someone with money to burn that will pay $10k or more.

And I guess is that's what they're hoping for.
