Building a recumbent kit

I have been interested in recumbents for a long time now, but never ridden one. Lurking around the internet for a year or so I found that the best solution is the Cruzbike Recumbent kit which allows conversion from a normal (full suspended) bike to recumbent and that with FWD - which not only seems to be practical, but also logical IMO.

I'm also an engineering student and must soon attend a mandatory machining internship (and everything related to it), so I figured why not build the kit myself, it doesn't take a lot of parts, I know SolidWorks quite well and can draw anything... as long as I know what I'm doing, but I don't know the first thing about bicycle frame geometry.

Can anybody help me in this process? The only thing I'm really looking for is the geometry part (fork and seat), the brazing/soldering will be explained at the internship. My goal is the draw the parts in SolidWorks so I can use them while machining.

The "homebuilders" form at bentrideronline.com and the "Technical/Bike Building" forum at recumbents.com would also be good sources of info for your project. Post some pics of the final product - sounds interesting.

Thanks, I cross posted in both of these forums. Full step-by-step instructions are in order of course, though I don't know if I'm allowed to do that... pics at the very least.
