The last time I went to the DMV it was by bike and they had bike racks. =)

Ironic isn't it? I rode out on the bike to rescue a friend who had a flat tire on her SUV last week.

Well, it was 11 miles there, I went out to get some meat, stopped at parents' (they're not home) and cycled their stale ice out by dumping it in the bag with the meat (yeah, it didn't go bad) ... 29 miles later, I'm trying to figure out how to regenerate from this ... whatever. Everywhere I was exposed to sun excessively, my skin is all nasty, some of it's starting to bleed.
Oddly, it ... burns ... but doesn't really hurt much. Well... eh, I've mucked about in my brain enough that heat-pain is kind of not painful, and this sort of feeling isn't interpreted as pain anyway.
God the skin is rotting off my body.

That's going to leave marks. Are you pretty much unconcerned with your health? I'm guessing that "whatever" is pretty bad sunburn.

There's not much I can do about it besides get long sleeve shirts ... which reduces my ability to cool myself while riding. I could put on all kinds of nasty goo, but that ups the amount of DNA damage and decreases the amount of apoptosis (killing of damaged cells), raising the risk of malignant cancers. Just can't seem to win.
Maybe long-sleeved under armour; that seems to allow pretty good air flow and improve cooling over a t-shirt. I've been thinking of white, but if I go black it'll absorb the UV light ... the Zensah I have seems perfect at that and supplies absolute protection from all solar exposure.

Heh, none of these sunburn products work. One says do not apply in large quantities ... they're all lidocane and aloe. A mixture of petrolium jelly or fresh aloe (can't bottle that) with a generous amount of menthol would provide several hours of relief, depending on how much menthol was mixed in. No such thing as something that works.

Mountain Hardwear makes some wicked lite T-Shirts in both long & short sleeve versions that are incredibly breathable & comfortable. I wear some long sleeved ones when I run in the sun in the summer & I never overheat. They would be perfect for riding.

You cant renew online? I haven't had to go anywhere to renew my license in about 15 years. Last time I went to the Tag off ice I was in and out in 15 minutes.
