Glasgow UK **** bike cyclist
HI, should say hello.
I use a 13 year old cheap bike to commute to work but wanting to get into cycling and get faster.
Also wished to ask on here
I remember a book from an English syllabus 1st or 2nd year in high school – so that'd may've been say 1990 or '91 and this fiction story in question involved a main character as a young boy – I think he was bullied a bit and he dreamed of having a racer style lightweight bike (he had some heavy bike he was getting by with but totally dreamt of a racer – you know drop handlebars etc.? )
Just my memories of the descriptions of the time he experienced the feeling of lightness and speed really had an effect on me at that tender age.
Curious to rediscover that book but have searched high and low and through lots of cycling books, just wish I could read those words again.
Probably set in urban UK and descriptions of the wind and movement through the air.
If anyone recognises anything similar please let me know?
Thank you,
John.

Howdy and welcome to the forums! Sounds like an interesting book, I'll have to look it up. I found this from 10 Wheels recommendation, Wasn't That Easy, Amazon says it is "Out of Print--Limited Availability." I wish they had it for my Kindle, oh well, it will be worth a search I'm sure. Good luck on finding it if it is the right book, if not, fill us in.
