long time lurker here
Hey all... I've been lurking for a couple of years and thought it was about time I started giving back. I'm 43 yo and became a roadie about 2 years ago, which just so happens to coincide with my joining these forums. At 6 foot tall, I was 245+ lbs and grabbed a big-box store hybrid bike to get started. Once I dropped to 180 lbs, I treated myself to a custom built all carbon road bike then took myself to 168 lbs. That all happened within one year. Of course, I ate right and did resistance training as well. I fell off the wagon and reverted to my previous unhealthy lifestyle nearly a year ago, gained 35 lbs back and am just now getting myself back on track. I've already told myself the carbon bike is off limits until I get back to 180, as I love that bike!

Welcome to the forum!
You should ride that nice carbon bike, it will make your weight loss that much easier.
