Which bike can be compared to this?

Hi,
My friend just purchased a 99 Klein Mantra for $550 on e-bay. We are all in a group and he has the best bike now...The rest of us has some cheap Mongoose's, which are about to die. I know it will be extremely hard to find a Klein for that price again. Are there any other bikes which compare to the Mantra, that won't break the bank? Let's say less than $750...?
Thanks.

Um, need more details, what level components are on it? What fork does it have? What wheels? What conditions?

Just FYI, https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...ghlight=custom this bike will outlast any aluminum can thin Klein!

What do you mean by similar? As in the look? No. Performance? Sure, but it depends on the rider, and what your riding. You may have the best bike for XC riding, but you buddy may have more skill and can clear a trail better then you on his hard tail.

Anyhow, theres dozens of great FS XC bikes avalible for that price. Its not about the bike, its the rider. If you want to be better then your friends, practice, learn how to ride correctly, it may take some time.
