Not enough info, from you, so just go to a bike shop.

Bikes: '96 Litespeed Catalyst, '05 Litespeed Firenze, '06 Litespeed Tuscany, '20 Surly Midnight Special, All are 3x10. It is hilly around here!

There are lots of 1" threaded headsets out there but I don't know if that vintage Schwinn used ISO or their own proprietary dimensions. You might post this on the C&V forum for a bike that old.

I have had problems with even Schwin's own crown races fitting loosely, so had to use LocTite. I would measure the inside of the head tube and also make sure the headset matches your new fork's crown diameter, which should be 26.4mm (ISO), or 27.0 (JIS).

Thanks a ton for that info dddd. I thought that maybe all Schwinn Typhoon bikes of this era... the 60's would have the same head tube length and inside diameter.. I think I am going to go with a threaded 1" fork now makes finding a good headset allot easier...
again thanks a ton dddd for the info...
