Nuovo Record prices are low.....
I just took a look at completed listings on ebay and the NR prices are the lowest I can remember in a long time.
Economy? Time of year? General fading away of the current vintage lust?

I don't know what the reason is. For a while there some of the vintage Campy prices where just way high maybe there just coming down to a more realistic level.

Traditionally, for me, from September to January is a very slow time for Ebay sales, as a huge portion of my market prepares for winter. The Economy, might also have something to do with it. Fading away of vintage lust? I think the interest in vintage bicycles is growing, but that is just me.

It probably has to do with the abudance of NR parts on ebay at this time. If something is scarce, it usually brings a higher price. I am now two deep in NR RDs for my two bikes.

C-record was at its peak 2-3 weeks ago. Saw some used Gen 1 derailleurs sell for hundreds in the last two months, when they were ~120 a few months back. Some shifters selling for $100 when they were ~45. Who knows!

On the other hand, "better" French component prices have risen significantly.....at least the asking price for them had, but maybe they will just go down again when not much gets sold soon.
So everyone please hold off buying at the ridiculous starting prices at eBay till these yoho sellers gets a grip back on to reality!

+1, I recently sold a nearly complete C Record group for just shy of $1800. That's, wheel set (Open Pros), 1st gen seat post and RD, FD, shifters, Cobalto calipers and levers, cranks, BB, headset. Most everything was in excellent shape. The RD alone brought $350. I've sold 2 seat posts, both for around $180. I think the headset and BB both brough a little over $100. Wish I had some more C Record laying around. It looks beautiful, but doesn't perform any better than SR in my opinion/experience, and personally I prefer the way NR/SR looks.

It seems like there is so much Campy stuff out there it's surprising the prices stay so high. I think if people see something is selling under current market, they buy it just to sit on it.

I've got a complete group with Deltas and nice tubular campy rims, last gen though. I would sell it for less than half of the price you got in a heartbeat! Condition isn't as good on mine though. Quick somebody buy my C-Record group so you can part it out on ebay so you can make millions!!!
Kidding aside, I've noticed C-Record going pretty high recently as well.

I just sold some NR stuff on ebay. Sold for more than I thought I would get. Derailleurs are going cheap. Brakes and Cranksets are big ticket items. You never know. Oh yeah, half the stuff I sold went to Japan and South Korea.

I just listed my set a few days ago. If mine sell for half of those prices, I'll be pleased as punch.

I'm noticing - and liking - this recent trend, too. I have enough for the bikes already, but I need spec-drillium stock for this winter

Meanwhile, some of the nicer Japanese stuff seems to be going up, such as Cyclone Generation 1.

Damn I'm going to have to look through my boxes and see If what I have in French junk. I'm pretty sure I have a set of huret DR's and a couple better simplexes.
