This link works. Very retro looking.

Citizen keeps on putting out very nice looking bikes. For the price point I think most of their bikes are a good deal. I have looked at the gotham 2 more than once.

Amen to that. I've ridden my wife's Barcelona, it has the same gearing I think, it could certainly use higher gears.
But it's a nice bike to ride. I'd also like to see a hub brake on the front. I still may purchase the Alhambra, I had hoped Downtube

I think Citizen is a great company with GOOD prices on their models.
I have a Gotham 1 I bought a few months ago that just passed over 800 miles so far without any problems. I keep it maintained well and it's still like new.
I do wish they would have a $200 steel model though with a one speed. I can't stand the gears and they just add more unneeded maintenance. They should also strip the handbrakes off for the pedal stop way. Speed Uno is a good example of simplicity at it's finest, but $450 is beyond most regular customers price range.

I can attest that Citizen bikes are great! I have the Miami & have had it for 3.5 years now. I use it to run errands & take my dogs on bike rides. Great bike for the price.

I'm glad to see you guys like the Citizen bikes. I'm thinking about getting a Tokyo, so that it will pack in a suitcase for a trip to Europe. I just bought a Dahon Stowaway on eBay for $75, and it looks great. I hope it will be. I've never had a folding bike before.
For me to do the Europe thing I've got to buy a bike for not only me but my two children. I don't think my wife will go for it. So I don't want to make a mistake!

I did a summer tour in Europe several years ago. My husband & I were on a very tight budget so we ended up with 2 Huffy Mountain bikes from KMart for our tour. Not knowing any better (about weight etc) we were quite loaded. I was the best trip I ever took. In my opinion go with what your budget & needs dictate. I would be very comfortable to say that I would do a long distance tour on my Miami Citizen. I am hoping to do a tour this fall on the bike & taking one of my dogs with me!
