Greetings from Nanuet
Hello riders,
I'm 59, riding all my life bicycles and motorcycles, very active, still good looking even with grey hair, married, 1 teen boy-mountain biker and motocross racer.
We live in Nanuet, RC-NY, whenever I have a chance, biking around Rockland Lake or from Fort Lee to Ground Zero around Hudson on West Side, about 25 miles RT.
I own Trek 700 since 1988 with 21 speeds, however these days my son or ladies in my age are passing me by with a smirk on their faces.
I'm 6 feet, 190lbs, strong legs, not mentioning brain, however I came to conclussion, that is about time to change a gear, means bike.
My LBS is offering me Trek 7.4 FX and other GT Tachyon 2, so I'm little bit overwhelmed with so many bikes. Any suggestions? John

Hello 10 Wheels,
Thank you for welcome on forums, very informative.
I didn't know about 50+, will read later, thanks for a tip.
You have really nice road bike, what type and year?
Keep rolling in TX, it is great sport, wish NY weather would be warmer, freezing here.
I've decided to buy Trek 7.4 FX

Hello Pistard,
Thanks for welcome, TZB is not for bikers, yet, maybe it will be soon, when new one is built.
Agree, Nyack, Piermont, 9W, GWB, Manhattan, Central Park, is swarmed by bikers.
I wish I will be with them more often.
Could be interesting ride around Hudson River from Nyack to Saratoga and back on both banks for example and see horse races as well.
