Beat up Super Course built.

I've been parting out most of my 3 speed collection.. and I didn't even have a raleigh built up.. but I did have a super course frameset I thought was too large, and new knowledge to try on fitting (thank you guys for that), so one thing led to another over this rainy dreary weekend, and I was sick anyhow..she is quite beat up, so without further ado here she is

Another SC aficionado joins the club!
I am sure that you were duly impressed RaleighSport!

(Though to be frank, I can't say as much for your wrap job! )

Your really gonna not like the next "upgrades" then.. and yes she rides wonderfully! The idea is to have a very ugly bike that performs very well.. a few more parts and the whole drive train goes to a horrible looking 105 set and no more beauty..

Edit: If you mean RD it's a Cyclone GT

Thats is extremely coincidental RaleighSport...........you have the same Sekai 2700 and now this. I have this same SC and mines pretty beat up as well. I found mine locked to a fence outside the thrift store and stalked it til the owner came out and unlocked it. I made him an offer and gave him a ride home. Seatpost and stem are stuck, wheels were completely trashed, paints in bad shape. It's currently a backlogged project, but it's the same color as yours...........my thought was that it is a late 70s model.

To be honest I don't recall.. I almost feel bad but I don't, normally I find out every detail I can about every bike I have.. have you tried modernizing yours at all?

Well, as I said, it has a stuck stem and seatpost that I just have'nt gotten around to. Ideally I'd like to see a Machine Grey repaint with a Suntour Cyclone group and Sugino Mighty crankset which I have cleaned up and ready. It came with Suntour Cyclone black clamp-on shifters for sure, the RD/FD I don't recall and Miche Competition hubs I think. Cranks were swaged SR
