Pull the trigger? 2011 Giant XTC 29er, re-spec'd...
Hey y'all,
This one came up on CL, got him down to $1500... what do you think?
https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/bik/2817786493.html
2011 GIANT XTC 29er, Alum frame, size M, Fox fork, 10sp SRAM X-7 shifter and derailleurs, Magura Marta SL, Raceface NEXT carbon bars & cranks, 24.03lbs as built (no pedals)
I talked to the guy about the build... he's built it up a couple of times and it looks like the only thing that is stock are the wheels and the fork.
I'm trying to figure out whether this is going to be a good purchase at $1500, or whether I should hold off.
One thing he mentioned is that the crankset is a triple, but the front derailleur is for a double... no big deal?
The guy races, has sponsors and all of that and seems like he knows what he's talking about. It's a pretty long drive down to Santa Rosa... any advice would be VERY appreciated.
HELP!
Thanks,
DS
