Specialized Rock Combo
After looking for a complete Rock Combo for a while now I got one. A great guy I met at a swapmeet ended up giving me the Frame and Fork. I did not have any 26" wheels so I put the 650Bs and the rest of the parts off my Trek 620 on it.
It just stopped raining so if I can keep some air in the tire and swap the stem to a shorter one I can get some miles in on it.

I have one in the exact color scheme with a rack on the back. It isn't light, but it will do a bit of everything and not complain.

I changed out the stem and its wonderful. I test fit some Gyles fenders and they will work great. Plenty of clearance for larger tires also.

Nice looking ride. I think that was just a bit ahead of its time, we had a few but could never sell them.

I had been looking for a while but when I found them people wanted over 200 for one. I kept putting it off until a guy gave me a stack of MTB frames and this one was in there. It really is a great bike.

What was the difference between the Rock Combo and the Rock Hopper? My wife had a '92 Rock Hopper that appeared to have very similar geometry and build as this bike.

For you guys who have Rockcombo's, what is the seat-tube measurement from the center of the bottom bracket to the top of the seat-tube? I've seen Specialized specs but they list it as center-to-center, which isn't as helpful to me. I'm interested in the 19.5" and the 22" versions. The smallest is definately too small and I'm trying to decide which of the larger ones would be the best fit for me.

Measured my Rockcombo today. It is 23.5" from center of BB to top of seat tube. IMO this approximates to something like a 58-59CM.

Strangely, just an hour ago one of the IBob members posted his 19" complete, mostly original Rockcombo for sale in Chicago. I wish I had the money, I would probably buy it although I would prefer to pick up just a frameset.
