Low gear problem on Brompton (3 speed hub)

I cannot select low gear on my Brompton any more! I have spent much time adjusting the tightness of the gear cable without any success. Any other simple checks I can do? Or do I need a new hub? Thanks.

Hello!

In case you do not get good answers from this group you find the IGH experts here: https://groups.yahoo.com/group/Geared_hub_bikes/

And the brompton group Here: https://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group...guid=374120424

You need to be a member on both groups.

If I pull the indicator chain directly I still don't seem to be able to engage the lowest gear

Could be the low gear pawl.. broken spring perhaps. fortunately every part of Aw3 hubs is sold.

hub shell comes apart, big spline .. behind the cog.

Try to adjust them first.
