Raleigh RT 300 info

Hey folks,

considering purchase of a 1994 Raleigh RT 300. just seeking info bout the bike. is in good shape and prices $100.00. Can the Shimano 300 EX, 42/52 teeth crankset be switched out to a compact?

Thanks

Tom

Really depends on condition. 300 EX was lower end but ok. I'd say as long as the bike is in decent rideable condition $100 is a fair price.

The crankset can certainly be swapped out but you might need a new front derailer too. Depends what teeth you want on the compact and if the current FD will handle it.
