I pity the April Fool

Sincerely hope that no one has suffered at the hands of pranksters on this beautiful first day of April.

Mother Nature pulled the trick this morning, I woke up saw that it was nice and bright outside though the blinds and thought "great it's nice and sunny", looked outside, sure enough the sun was shinning the sky was clear. But the reason why it was so bright was that there was a skiff of the white stuff on the ground. April Fool, so much for a ride this morning.

Bright and sunny this morning in Eastern MA. But, it turned cloudy this afternoon, with a nasty feeling wind. Not "plastic trash can in the street" wind, but nasty feeling. I was well suited up for it though.

I think Mother Nature's April Fool's prank on us was last week, with constant sun and temps in the 70s and 80s.

Not sure how this works, but around here, it can be in the 50s, and feel cold and nasty, or be in the 50s and feel much warmer. Freakin' weather.

Immature 24-year-old son rubberbanded the kitchen sink spray hose so that when the water was turned on for a refreshing drink my wife got sprayed.
This has happened before -on April 1- in our household. Passed on from older to younger son.

I wear an aluminum foil hat under my helmet to reject the April fools jokesters. As many of you know, April fools jokes are pranks played by aliens from the planet Zorron. Wearing aluminum foil has worked very well so far. I've also tried rubbing my chest with garlic cloves, but that hasn't worked as well as I can't walk past a pizza parlar without someone trying to give me an order.
Also, riding a CF bike is a major problem as aliens are attracted to CF (something the astronauts found out, but the government won't let them tell us). So don't ride your CF bike on April 1. Other days it's not a problem.

I'm out on the bike this afternoon after church. One of our key people calls me with a little issue at work. The people who report to me work 24 x 7 in shifts. We get that problem solved and I continue on the ride. Our department is razor thin on people. No backup. Key person calls again and said one of our folks got mad and quit About 5 seconds later, key person, person alleged to have quit, and remainder of the crew... "April Fool!". They got me

I am the april fool

First mtb ride, ever. Single track twice in my life, on the two CX races I have done.

8+ inches of rain in the last week. More this morning, and colder.

1600' of climbing over 12 miles, with technical single track descents.

No operational rear brake (surprise! at mile 4, just in time for the first stretch of really steep single track).

No beer in the cooler in the car.

Many years ago and it happened to one of our managers. The department opened at 8.30 am and he was always in by 7.30. The staff started to arrive from 8 am most mornings but the phone calls started at 7.45. Got a cold and won't be in- Going to be late as I am stuck in North London and there is a Crash on the road- The cats died- I won't be in today.

All the staff rang in with some reason and they would not be in at work. The manager started to pull his hair out by 8.25 but all the staff walked in the door at 8.29 to get a blasting from the manager.

He got his own back though later in the day When he sabotaged the coffee machine by taking the fuse out.

Next year you need to show them the right way to sabotage the kitchen spray hose. Use clear Scotch Tape instead of a rubber band. The clear tape is much harder to spot. I suggest you enlist the help of your bride to help keep peace in the household though.
