Is it hard to change the seals on an air fork

My friend just sold me a Rock Shox SID 2004 Team for 125!!! Wooo, but it leaks air. however we are both certain it is the seals and my bike shop shares that opinion. Are these seals hard to come by, ive never delt with air shocks before. And when i have them is this a tricky installation im looking at? ANy information at all is appreciated.

It's easy if you have the right tools... if not, you'll be wasting time and money.

Call around, you should be able to find a shop that will do it. We charge $30-50(not counting parts) to tear down a fork and clean it, relube and replace the seals. More for bushing replacement.

There is a tool for installing the seal, it inserts in the seal and keeps it square when you tap it in as well as giving you something to tap against.
Are you sure the air is getting past the seals? Sometimes it is the air valve.

actually im not entirely sure what it is. I ordered it frm a friend who says it leaks air. After about 30 minutes of riding it needs to be pumped again. I will check when i get it to see the air valves. I called around and they all said they will likely have it sent to a Rock Shox service center. SO yea, but heck f
