Seat Solution
I picked up a new Fuji CCR3 about two months ago as an motivator to start riding again. The bike is great, sure beats the 1991 Schwinn 564 that I had sitting around. I didn't like the seat and tried three others, none of them fit me well.
I stopped at another bike shop today and they had a Bontrager Saddle Sizer. I sat on it to make an imprint, I then matched the color formed by the imprint to the color on available seats. Seleceted a seat, installed it this evening and went for a ride. Wow, the best so far. Granted I only rode 10 miles but so far so good.
If you are having problems finding a seat that works for you give the Bontrager Saddle Sizer a try.

Now wait a minute! You sit on this gizmo to make "an imprint" and based on the color of this imprint you pick out a saddle that matches this "appropriate color"??? I don't think I like where this is going!!!

Yeah. I had my foot measured also. 10.5". My road shoes are a size 12 and my mountain bike shoes are a size 14!! Be careful buying by "size" alone. I'm glad your seat works well for you but Demo is the way to go.

I hear you on the demo. I guess that I got lucky this time but not so lucky on the 3 other seats that I tried.

What width saddle did the sizer recommend? Was it wider or narrower than the previous saddles?

The seat was wider, I believe 150mm. The three other seats that I tried were the Forte Pro SL, Selle SMP Extra (the nose of this seat was too wide, otherwise it was good) and finally the Selle Italia Gel Flow Flight (which I am going to sell on eBay).
