Can I turn any rear derailleur into rear derailleur with hanger?

Hello!

If I had this hanger can I turn any rear derailleur to a derailleur with hanger or only specific derrailleurs can accept it? My bike doesn't have an on frame hanger, so I'm thinking about buying a used rd and attach to it the hanger that I already have. Is this possible?

Yes what you to want do will work just fine . as long the derailer doesn't already have hanger mounted to it ,then most derailers will work for you .

You can buy a derailleur claw new. https://harriscyclery.net/product/var...r-claw-963.htm

The only caveat is that your bike will must have horizontal dropouts.
