Should I buy a new headset?
I have a new frame and I also have a bike that will be used as a donor for almost all of the components needed. I’ve owned the donor bike since new, most of the wear items are in very good condition due to recent upgrades.
The Cane Creek headset is 6 years old and has about 15,000 miles of year around use. It has never given me any problems and seems to be in very good condition
Should I install it in the new frame, or replace it?

If it will work with the new frame and fork and is in good condition, why not use it?

+1, you haven't offered any reason not to use it. OTOH, if installation or removal requires a visit to a local shop since you don't have the tools, that cost might factor into the decision. I'd probably use it anyway, but you should weigh the possible cost of prematurely replacing it vs. the cost of going new immediately.

I'd just buy a new headset for the new frame, unless the donor frame is trashed. Because:
- If you sell the donor frameset, you'll get a better response with the headset installed. One less part a buyer has to track down and install.
- If you intend to use the donor frameset in the future, well.... it'll need a headset. So might as well leave that one installed.
Also, headsets are pretty inexpensive. For $20 you could get a brand new one.

Use it if it's still smooth and functinal
But, you need to know if the new frame (the head tube of the new frame) uses the same type of headset as the old one. There's a bunch of different types of threadless headsets, if you didn't know that already.
