HELP! Week abroad cycling and my saddle clamp has broken.
Hi,
I am on a weeks cycling holiday, arrived today and the bike box I hired acted like a colander as my 5mm bolt in my seat clamp came out and then fell out the box.
I have tried other 5mm bolts from my bike but they do not seem to work.
Any suggestions to keeping my saddle up and still?
Thanks

Generic metric hardware is readily available all over the world, even in the USA. Pay a visit to a hardware store, bike shop, auto repair shop, or the local fixit guy if in the third world and odds are you'll find a workable part. Stainless is less common, so use whatever works, smear grease all over it to prevent or slow rust and you should be fine until you get back home.
