Quick Fix for Crooked Valve Stem??

-- OK so say I just replaced the tube and reseated the clincher tire and inflated it. And the valve stem is not perpendicular to the rim. What are the quickest tricks to coax the innertube around without having to unseat the tire again?

Deflate it and grab the tire. Slide it in the direction the valve is leaning.

Right! This is the only way I know of doing this. You may have to remove one side of the tire. Those tires, even deflated can be pretty stiff.

If you use the nut to hold the valve in place when you put the tyre on. You have to back the nut off when you inflate to seat the tube properly.

Not all tubes use a valve stem nut. Also, if you make sure to put some talcum on the tube before reassembly, it'll make straightening that stem much easier.
