NORCAL is where it's at!

Hey, my name is John and I'm a junior road racer from the bay area. My ride is an '01 Specialized Allez Sport runnin shimano 105 and mid line rithchey compnents. Weighing in at 22-25 pounds I guess you could say I don't have "the most competitive" bike out there but it works. I love the hills where I ride, which is mostly in Woodside and Portola Valley. The weather is gorgeous and so is the scenery. I started racing at 12 and have done maybe 15 or so races, but this year I'm going full speed into the season and it is looking like it will be a great year. Greatest race I have done is Copperopolis, nicknamed "The Paris-Roubaix" of California. Now go RIDE!!!

Hey John . . . was just up in your neck of the woods today (from SJ) doing "the loop", love it up there. One of these days I'll tackle Old La Honda (ugh!). See you out there!

Welcome to BikeForums! I've heard that the pavement on the Leesville RR course is even worse! Actually, I haven't done either, but that's what I've heard.
