anone know anything about Mercier? looks like another reborn name on a cheap bike ala the Windsor Hour. the Windsor is actually a pretty nice frame (built in the same factory that does Fuji) with disappointing components, but they go cheap on eBay. these Merciers are now showing up there for $350.

I believe the current Merciers have no real connection with the classic Merciers, excepting the name. They are manufactured somewhere in the far east. The original Merciers, in particular the 300, were very nice French built bikes, made famous by Raymond Poulidor. Can't speak for the quality of the new ones.
