Reynolds or Columbus
I'm looking to buy a new frameset and narrowed it down to two.
A pinarello with Columbus GPX tubing and a Rickert with Reynolds 531C tubing. The Rickert is cheaper by a bit but I prefer the pinarello so my question is that is it worth it? Sizes are similar.

imho- having owned or ridden bikes with columbus, reynolds, dedical & tange tubing - not sure the tubing matters as much as how that tubing is selected, applied to the cycling application and ultimately how the bike fits and is constructed. the bruce gordon site has an interesting article about steel tube sets. get what fits you better.

I dunno...Would you prefer Chardonnay or Pinot Noir? Perhaps Alaskan King with Chardonnay or Filet Mignon with Pinot Noir....
They both have proven themselves to be the very best in chromoly-like steel tubing. They are both very strong and can be butted to make them very light in mass.
I think it's just a matter of personal taste, not scientific substance.

£50 difference which I can afford but if I buy the Rickert then I have more money for nicer parts
I think the Pinarello would fit me better so I am leaning more towards getting it and I probably will end up getting it if someone else hasn't already..
