rear hub spacing

I want to set up a single speed with a Velosteel rear hub. Does anyone know what spacing dimension I'm supposed to get? My fixie is narrower than my Canondale, and I don't have my mountain bike here to measure. I'll probably use a road or mt. frame due to their cheap availablity. Thanks.

road bike spacing is generally 126mm or 130mm. mountain bikes are typically spaced at 135mm.

According to the Velosteel site they're available in a variety of widths. But in reality, they just fit the hub with different drive-side spacers. The basic hub (with normal-ish spacers) is 110mm I believe. I have 2 120mm hubs but the spacer on the drive-side made achieving a decent chainline problematic so I got rid of it.

Do you have any Velosteel hubs now? Do you have a source?

Excellent! I think you'll be really happy with it. One thing to remember.... It will arrive with almost NO lube in the hub. You really should disassemble it and grease it up before you use it. Let me know if you are concerned about doing this, I can do step by step instructions if you'd like.

Take care...

I cannot read .cz, so I read the English version. Can you buy just one, or only a box of 28. If so, what is the cost including accesories required?
