Both of them are about the same price for me to upgrade, looking for a 25.4mm one. I can get some rather cheap ones on the Bay or other places around the $20-30 range. Weight it not a factor, but any recommendations on a cheaper one?

I have mainly rode the flat-bar and the drop bars before, never tried the bullhorn, so it will be new to me. What do you guys think?

everyone is different, but i prefer to ride bullhorns on my fg

yes i tried track drops (best looking), flat and riser bars...bullhorn wins for me

Bullhorns for me. But I heard compact road drops with hoods are the best; they offer the most hand positions.

What do you guys think of that Bullhorn from the Bay? Any good then? In my previous thread I said that I picked up the WM $100 FG/SS, so
I will likely just reuse the stock brakes on the new bars.

i'd stick to the usual suspects such as Nitto, if you want something affordable try Origin8 thats what i used to have

You should check these out. Always been a little interested in them, but I have never seen anyone riding them. Be the guinea pig.

I think these small upgrades are fine, because if I were to upgrade bikes, I can easily swap these parts as well. Plus, it is only like $20-30, so it is not too bad. And I know exactly what you mean, nothing rude or mean here. It is a cheap bike.

Handle bars are a very personal choice, some people like drops, I like bull horns. You also need to consider your width and reach of the handle bars. Some people like to stretch out some like more upright. As for pedals, I recommend going for MKS instead, I believe they'll last you a bit longer. (they are serviceable.)

Personally, I find flat bull horns with a medium/short stretch the more comfy. I don't like them dropping like the rodeo pursuits.

LessonLearned

Don't overlook stem length if you're trying bullhorns for the first time. A stem for bullhorns will typically be very short compared to one you would use for other types of bars (due to the long reach/extension of the horns). If you find yourself stretched out too far, your stem may be too long.

ben4345 has got the right idea with MKS pedals. I like the MKS Sylvan Touring pedals a lot. The bearings are very solid and the pedals are sexy.

Drop bars offer more hand positions than bullhorns, so if you're on the bike for any length of time, you'll likely find drop bars more useful.

Keep in mind that bullhorn bars were designed for a specific purpose: relatively short, fast races where rider comfort was less of a priority than aerodynamics and speed.

MKS pedals are good to go
Bullhorn width is up to your shoulder/body size
and yes u def have to consider your effective top tube and stem length, as another member mentioned, some want to be more aero/stretched out, personally i have flat bullhorns and a short stem i like to be a bit more upright, im not trying to beat any land speed records lmao

Well, I found a set of pedals, the Marketplace had a set of pedals for $12 from a Kilo TT, soi took them. Hopefully they are not too bad, metal with straps.

I have bullhorns on my aero racer & drops on my Lotus. It really depends on how stretched out you wanna be most of the time and if you tend to ride upright or low. I prefer drops for the extra hand positions and different rider positions for lean over distances.
For my fixed, I have mustache bars. Not practical and I wouldn't put them on my main rider. Funky fun though.

The Kilo TT pedals are pretty much the worst part on a stock Kilo.

They are really bad, but who knows? They may be an upgrade.
