I'm already sold in the looks department. Now onto the functionality evaluation. Anyone use one before? I'll be using it on a 2x10 commuter setup with 105 derailleurs and dura ace bar ends. I'm just hoping the shifting will be smooth enough with the 16 tooth jump. On top of that I'm wondering to myself...a 30 tooth chain ring is quite small and possibly too small. Enough rambling.

I wouldn't mind something like that if it had a more normal spread, I like the chain guard. But it does sound like it requires a triple front shifter (46t is setup in the middle...)
I would love to have a big chain guard so I wouldn't get so much chain grime on my jeans when I ride to work, only got caught on it a couple of times but that sucks too and usually rips

I use their compact crankset. The rings shift well, and have been durable. It's slightly heavy.
An ancient DuraAce derailleur shifts it well, 34-48.

I have the polyvalent crankset and like it quite a bit. It replaced my old double crankset with no issues with the derailleur, but it is possible you may have to adjust your FD a little bit to get it to work. I think I had to move mine up on the seat tube a few millimeters. I was a little worried that the 46t big chainring wouldn't be big enough for me, but it has turned out to be just fine, and I actually only rarely drop down to the small chainring. After riding it for about a year (probably 4000 miles), I had to replace the big chainring due to some rather excessive wear, which I thought was a bit early, but I just put in a Sugino 46t replacement without any issue. The chainring guard looks very nice and it does a decent job of keeping your pant cuff from getting greasy, but it is not as good as a full-on chain case IMO. Anyway, I would recommend it, but keep an eye on how the big chainring wears if you also get one.
