Studded Tire "break-in" period?

Studded Tire "break-in" period?
I just got a pair of Nokian studded tire from PeterWhite and saw there was some kind of warning about breaking-in the tire for about 50 miles. I emailed Peter, but haven't heard back from him yet, anyone know what this break-in period is all about?
