I didn't have any 14T starting cogs in the stash to play with, so I'm taking a chance on a Miche. I've heard mixed reviews, but they seem to be the only game in town unless you happen upon someone with old Shimano stock:

Not in the mail, but I just picked up some Weinmann 700C rims with Campy Nuovo Record hubs for my Torpado. After one of my vintage (as in, almost as old as my bike) sew-ups suffered a big blowout I decided I'd prefer some clinchers for commuting around Boston. These should do the trick.

I also got some Bontrager AW2 tires and Specialized tubes for the new wheels, and a couple of tubes of Vittoria Mastik for when I can finally decide on some sew-ups.

Yesterday I received a used Concor Profil saddle in the mail. This is the type my bike originally came with. The Avocet that is currently on the bike is falling apart and not at all comfortable. Even if the Concor doesn't work out I can at least keep it for originality's sake.

That's a cool saddle!. I still remember when they first came out in the 80's, and Concor had a hard time selling them, as most people cannot really relate to the aero "skirt" design at the bottom of the saddle.....
Surprise, surprise!!, as these Profil saddle now sell for lots of money in NOS and VGC.
I should have bought lots of them back in the 80's together with perforated Turbo saddles. I'd be making a mint today if I sold them!

The listing said "Plug and Play" Looks kind of doubtful to me. 6 plugs a grounding wire and another wire from the battery ground.

I asked my Brother who sells hitches how hard it was to install a trailer plug, and he said you just get a kit and plug it in, and run a wire from the battery. I think he got the wrong idea. perhaps I should have asked how much he charged to do it.

^^ It is "Plug and Play" You plug it in, and the fun begins. ^^

As for myself, these will be useful, on a couple of modern bikes.

And so will this, a Campy freehub for some Easton EA90SLX wheels.
Almost all my wheelsets will now "go both ways." NTTAWWT

So true. After loosing so much weight the beard hides my "turkey neck".

Gawd it sucks to get old but I'm trying my best (most times) to hold it off.

NIB Ultegra 10-sp chain
NIB 5 10-sp Shimano pins
NIB pair of Conti GP4000S 700x25's
from CL, $80, shipped from the local seller.

A set of these, advertised on CL locally,
but shipped by her son from across the state.

I figure they'll work on something, behind the fork, maybe one of my old Kestrels.

If not, I'll sell them to a local guy upgrading his bikesdirect Kestrel Talon.
