Mrs. Hill-Pumper did it, her first completed 40 mile Covered Bridge Tour
As many of you know, Mrs. Pumper has been training for her first 40 mile ride on our Covered bridge Tour. Well, I am happy to say, she finished it in fine shape today with plenty left in the tank to spare. Her attempt last year ended at 26 miles with a ride to the finish in the SAG wagon. This year though was a different story. She was on a road bike instead of a comfort bike, and trained for it. She had a lot of personal best today, including most miles miles at 38, most elevation gain at 850, and best average speed at 13 mph. I am really proud of her finishing and training the way she did. Now she is thinking of doing a metric century next month. I know she can do it, so back to training for next months ride.
Just a couple of pics from the ride.
This pic is at the point last year she came to the conclusion that she could not finish, not the case this time around.
....and this is at the finish, her enjoying her root beer float

You can't quit wearing a "we can do it" jersey - not acceptable.
I went on my ride today wearing an "arrogant bastard" jersey (Stone beer)... I'm not sure what that means.
Well done!
