I went All In today!
This afternoon I visited NYCeWheels and walked out with quite the ride.
Brompton M6L, black, w/ Eazy Wheels, Cover w/ Saddlebag, C Bag, and Shimano dynamo light kit. ALSO, I had them install the Biologic ReeCharge, so I can charge my iPhone and other gizmos off the dynamo while tooling around. This last feature really makes the Brompton the ideal Zombie Apocalypse Transportation System -- I'll be happily playing Angry Birds while everyone else is without power!
I love the ride of the bike. I rode it from the shop on 85th, all the way back to Park Slope Brooklyn. What an awesome ride on an awesome bike!
This thing is going to bounce between Baltimore and NYC with me, keeping me company on Amtrak.
I have a "normal" bike, a Specialized Tricross, and it's great and all.
But there's something about the Brompton that is, well... totally pimpin', if you will.
I'll post pics soon!

Really awesome. I love riding mine for the same reasons; there's just something so fun and pimpin' about the bike. You totally went all out, congrats and can't wait for the pics!

If you ride much at night, I would replace the standard halogen light with the lumotec iq cyo r senso LED light. It is the light that comes standard with the SON hub and it's much brighter.

How are you liking the Shimano Dynamo and biologic reecharge? I've been looking at getting the shimano dynamo wheel and some sort of USB charger for keeping my phone charged.

Congratulations. That's the model I ride and I've been super-happy with it. I own quite a few bikes and the Brompton is in the top 2 as far as ride time is concerned.
I would respectfully disagree with the zombie apocalypse t-shirt. Although the zombie revolution will not be motorized, I don't think the Brompton would be the best choice. For one, too many of its parts are specialized and made just for Brompton, which would make maintenance & repair after the collapse of society too difficult. For an average day in New York, however, the Brompton is just about perfect....especially with a big bag up front, the rear rack doesn't hold much and anything back there is subject to heel strike if it is too wide.

Things I'm loving so far:
• I'm actually able to fold/unfold in a few moments now, after only a few days! What seemed like a series of semi-awkward movements even a day or two ago now are coming basically naturally to me.
• Soooo easy to get through the subway turnstile, and is so slick and compact on the subway car.
• Fits nonchalantly into the OVERHEAD bin on the Amtrak regional train between NYC and Baltimore -- cowaBUNGA!
• The front C Bag is sooooo dope!
• Really enjoying the overall ride quality and comfortable and casual upright feel of the M handlebar setup -- very relaxed compared to my Specialized Tricross, obviously.
I'll post some pics soon!
