New Cyclist in Central NJ

Hello everyone. Been hitting this forum a lot the past few months as I just got into cycling. I live in Hightstown NJ and have been riding almost daily at Mercer County Park and around my house. I got a great deal on a Diamondback Podium 1...I know it isn't the best bike in the world, but it keeps up just fine with the other entry level bikes and I wanted to make sure I loved the sport before heavily investing. I hope to start doing charity rides and group rides once I have my conditioning and speed at a strong enough level.

I am certainly open to riding with anyone in my area. Thanks for all the knowledge and experiences that has been shared in this forum already as it has helped me make better decisions on items I have needed and adjustments/cleaning/etc.

Welcome. Don't apologize for your bike. The BEST bike is the one you are riding! And, it's wise to make sure you enjoy the sport before investing too much in a bike. Once you're hooked, though....watch out!

I'd suggest you stop by the Northeast forum and say hi.

Welcome! I'm relatively new myself and have gotten some great advice from fellow members. I now live in Bergen County but from 1977-1985 I lived in East Windsor.
