FSA MegaExo External BB sluggish.
Hey I had a cyclocross race last Sunday that was extremely muddy. I got home washed up my bike and had to take a few parts off to clean them out. I got all the parts moving good enough except the bearing of my bottom bracket. I didnt want to screw with it to much until i got some tips on what to do.
You can feel that the bearings are not very smooth and gunked up, I can tell there is some sort or dirt, and grit in there. When I spin the crank hard with my hand the pedals turn about 3-4 times and come to a halt.
-What do I need to get to fix it?
-When this happens are the bearing usually overhauled without being removed or is the whole bearing itself just replaced?
-Special lube for bearings, or will medium grease (like used on hubs) work?
-any other input appreciated!
