on Lance based on a book where ANOTHER French judge has already made a ruling in favor of Armstrong's suit against the writers of "The Book".

I really hope they don't ever get a copy of the World News or The National Enquirer...they might start an investigation into our harbouring aliens....

This is just too funny....

Imagine having to live under a legal system that seriously starts investigating allegations that the authors themselves have already said were, at best, circumstantial...

...as well as having a financial gain (selling books) by making those accusations.

After reading this load of bravo serria, I don't blame Lance if he NEVER rides the TdF again, or any other race in France for that matter.

Remember Mapei???

If he didn't have a contract with Discovery to ride one more Tour, my guess is he'd tell them to kiss his behind. Like he told the Giro people...

It's funny that the Tour organizers do not seem to realize how stupid this makes them all look.

Yeah I know. The whole thing is getting out of hand. Would most people care though if it were Dekker instead of Armstrong? Then again, this may not have happened to Dekker.

How are the Tour organizers involved in this? I saw this as a conflict between Lance, David Walsh / Emma O'Reilley, and the French judicial system. They may be involved as an "innocent bystander" (through difficulty obtaining sponsors), but I didn't think they were directly involved in accusing, investigating, or prosecuting Armstrong.

From what I read the French not only investigate Lance but seem to be trying to effect change in the sport as a whole. This is something that needs to be done just like our baseball. Do you really think the physiological changes we see in athletes are just " better training ". I found the French people I met who loved cycling to be great people....they also despised the French riders who were using drugs. During the etape stage last year where amateur riders and fans get to ride a stage of the tour I was with a former french amateur in La Mongie. He got a call from a friend who had just completed the race...many pro teams scout the race to find new riders. His friend who had raced, commented to him how frustrating it was to see racers they knew and had raced against ride so well by using drugs.

Maybe the French..who have followed cycling for much longer than a lot of us...realize the severity of the problem much more than we newcomers do.

I don't see any changes in Lance's physiology which suggests drug use?

The "investigation" into his badgering a witness during the Tour...remember when he ran down Simeoni, the guy making the accusations...Lance's already stated he's not going to the Giro as a result.
He actually was considering it....
