Or dim sum at CBS https://www.yelp.com/biz/cbs-seafood-...nt-los-angeles
I was riding on Main Street in Huntington Beach and another rider going the same way. He works at Philippes and in fact, his family owns it. What a coincidence. He stores his bike in the restaurant.

I am planning to use one of my collapsible bikes as I don't want to leave anything to chance. I hate to be stranded anywhere.

even if the Gold line is full, the bike path along the 110 and Figueroa on the other side are pretty much straight shots into DTLA. But I'm sure the Gold line will be easy.
There is a CX race right near Chinatown, so that's another fun venue to hang and watch or cheer on the racers.

Some Good Bicycle Groups To Check Out (read full article for more information):
".......Bikerowave
The group: This all-ages crowd consists of mechanics from the Bikerowave co-op shop (and surrounding shops), plus a handful of Westsiders. The riders are mostly beginner to intermediate.
Flying Pigeon Los Angeles
The group: More than 200 participants turn out for this ride—from riders in costume; to families with kids and trailers in tow; to those for whom their bikes are their babies.
Watts Labor Community Action Committee + East Side Riders
The group: Friends of the Watts Labor Community Action Committee (proudly boasting ages 5-65) meet up with a local bike club, East Side Riders, for a large, multi-generational family-friendly ride. Expect to ride with at least 45 or so Watts regulars, many sporting customized cruisers.
Caltech Bike Lab
The group: The Bike Lab, an offshoot of Caltech's cycling club, organizes this ride comprised mostly of students—with community members of all ages sprinkled in.
Midnight Ridazz
The group: What started nine years ago as a small group of friends going on a nightly bike ride has grown into a wide collective of bike enthusiasts who now converge on the Midnight Ridazz online forum. Check out groups like Los Angelopes, known for their quirky, wild-looking bikes. If you're seeking out a party ride, hit up The Beastsiders from the Eastside and Crank Mob from the Westside......."-https://www.timeout.com/los-angeles/t...o-meet-up-with

Was probably the best route yet - the exposition park leg is awesome. It got super crowded though around noon time especially in downtown where you had to unclip every 10 seconds because the green lights were 20 seconds long. Did not see any Zipp wheels at all. Some hipsters were riding like jackholles and a guy was on the aerobars doing 12 mph. Other than that, it was probably the best ciclavia yet.

I didn't see a double-decker this time, but did see quite a few hipster-wannabes on fixies riding like they owned the road. I can't believe I forgot to do the MacArthur Park leg!
I parked at the Norwalk Green Line station, took the Green Line to the Blue Line to Grand station, then rode down Grand to Jefferson to the Expo Park hub (and a quick cruise over to Endeavour's temporary home). Up Fig to Grand Park, then the East Side leg, then back to the Chinatown leg (after stopping to pay my respects to the Challenger Memorial in Little Tokyo), then back to Expo Park, then back up Fig to Washington to the Grand station. Got off the Blue Line for an extra little jaunt over to Watts Towers (most of my mumblety-fifty-nine-mumblety years in the LA area, and that was my first visit!!), then back to the Blue Line to the Green Line to Norwalk.

very much enjoyed the leg to exposition park. it was my impression that this ciclavía was the least crowded-
probably something to do with the combo of football games + obama's pending d-town visit. still a blast as always and brought 2 ciclavía noobs with me. they loved it! hadda hit wurstküche on east 3rd & traction in the arts district (a block off the route by the east 4th street bridge) and it was great-will hit again next visit. so many bikes out front and so many fantastic beers on tap, it was difficult to leave and remount. had the duck/bacon sausage this time but will be brave and attempt the rattlesnake/rabbit sausage next time.

I am glad that all of you here were able to come and for the most part, enjoyed yourselves . As for myself, I did ride a little bit-mostly around Little Tokyo. While it was the least crowded of the Ciclavias that I attended (I attended them all except for last spring's one as I had a unexpected death in my family), there was still a matter of, well to tell you the truth, I am not sure how to refer to it. I did have a bit more people problems that I did in the other events . A few were chalked up to complete new cyclists that did not know how to really handle a bike-especially in a crowded situation as Ciclavias are-and are excused with no blame attached. Some were not very aware of their surrounding on or off the bike. I had one guy bump into me while he just chatted along with his buds blissfully unaware of others present . Some simply rode their bikes like there were no one else around-aka Hipsters or wanna-be Hipsters . After noontime, more people began to crowd the streets and that is when I made my exit home. I seem to enjoy riding my bike in a normal situation with cars around. And with as few bikes as possible on the road. Go figure .
